The year 2010 begun with an earthquake in Haiti, it took up to 100,000 lives and devastated much of its capital city.
The earthquake destroyed 30% of the capital port-au-prince and in some neighbourhoods half of the buildings went down.
Many hospitals were destroyed, which made the situation worse.

The secondary effects of the Haiti earthquake was the lack of food, homelessness, there was landslides, liquidation, in which the land turned into the consistency of jam and there was a cholera outburst due to the lack of clean water.
